A bold Vietnamese Black Oolong with a rich, full-bodied character, warm caramel aroma and deep, lingering sweetness — delicious on its own and beautifully suited to milk.
Made from 100% oolong tea grown in Bao Loc, Lam Dong, this darker-style oolong produces a clear reddish-brown infusion with a rich, warming aroma and distinctive depth.
The first sip brings a gentle astringency and full tea character, followed by warm caramel notes and a naturally sweet finish that lingers beautifully.
Its stronger character also makes it an excellent choice for tea drinkers who enjoy milk. Brew it traditionally and add a splash of milk, or prepare a stronger infusion as the base for a creamy Vietnamese Oolong Milk Tea.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
Rich Caramel Character
Warm caramel-like notes complement the tea's deep, rounded flavour, creating a richer experience than lighter, more floral oolongs.
Beautiful With Milk
Its fuller body and stronger tea character stand up beautifully to milk. Enjoy it with a simple splash of dairy or plant-based milk, or brew it stronger for a creamy Oolong Milk Tea.
Grown in Bao Loc
Made with oolong tea from Bao Loc in Vietnam's Central Highlands, one of the country's best-known tea-growing regions and an important centre of Vietnamese oolong production.
Deep & Lingering Sweetness
A gentle initial astringency gradually softens into a naturally sweet, rounded finish that remains pleasantly on the palate.
A Darker Oolong Experience
With its reddish-brown liquor and fuller character, this tea offers a distinctive alternative to lighter green and floral oolong styles.
TASTE & AROMA
Aroma: Rich and warm with caramel-like notes
Taste: Full-bodied, gently astringent and naturally sweet
Finish: Deep, rounded and lingering
Liquor: Clear reddish-brown
HOW TO BREW
For a classic cup:
Tea: 8 g
Water: 250 ml
Temperature: 100°C
Time: 3–5 minutes
Enjoy it without milk first to discover its natural caramel character and lingering sweetness.
Then try it with a splash of milk — its fuller body and deeper flavour make it particularly well suited to a British-style cup of tea.
HOW TO MAKE OOLONG MILK TEA
For a richer milk tea, prepare a stronger infusion so the character of the oolong remains present after adding milk.
Tea: 10 g
Water: 200 ml
Temperature: 100°C
Time: 5 minutes
Strain the tea, then add approximately 50–100 ml of milk, adjusting to taste.
Enjoy hot, or pour over ice for an Iced Oolong Milk Tea.
Works beautifully with dairy milk as well as oat milk.
WHAT IS BLACK OOLONG TEA?
Black Oolong is a darker-style oolong with a deeper colour and fuller flavour profile than many lighter, floral oolongs.
This Vietnamese Black Oolong is produced in Bao Loc, Lam Dong, a highland region with a long tea-growing tradition and particularly strong association with oolong production.
Its deeper character, warm caramel-like aroma and lingering sweetness make it versatile: refined enough to enjoy on its own, yet bold enough to remain distinctive when paired with milk.
For anyone accustomed to strong black tea with milk, Vietnamese Black Oolong offers a different way to experience that familiar ritual.
